Trades Recognition Australia
Trades Recognition Australia has released details of its new job ready program. All international students who have trade occupations will need to go through the new process when applying for permanent or provisional general skilled visas.
The new process requires:
- IELTS minimum of 6
- 12 months of full-time, paid, work experience
- The employer needs to be registered with TRA and a logbook needs to be completed
- A workplace assessment - a practical trade test conducted in your workplace
- In most cases, the applicant will need an 18-month skilled graduate visa to complete the process
- Approximate cost for the process is $4,500
